While you're waiting for me to complete the Caprica project, here's an incomplete, but still completely usable, release of my NEXT typeface, Gayatri.

Like Caprica, it's based on a type used in the recently-ended-or-is-it Battlestar Galactica. Most caps and numbers are taken from signs on display in, on and around the Galactica itself, while a few are completely new, and all other letterforms, lower case characters and punctuation, have been birthed in the pink soup that is my brain.

The font is completely kerned, but a few advanced characters are missing, and I have not applied any hinting as yet.

I made my own version of this font a long while ago for use in my art, but I didn't have any software to create actual font files, so it just stayed as a bunch of layers in an Illustrator file. I'm looking forward to using yours in my artwork. Thanks for uploading it. :)
